Jim Fournier

Jim is a graduate student studying Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness
at the California Institute of Integral Studies with Rick Tarnas. A self-described
"design scientist," his undergraduate work was in physics and
chemistry and he went on to study architecture at MIT. In 1984 Jim started
a design firm in Vermont. The business grew rapidly to become a manufacturing
and export company which he ran for ten years before moving to San Francisco
in 1995. His design work earned him numerous international awards and induction
into the Industrial Design Society of America where he served as the ecology
editor of the IDSA journal, Innovation. Jim has traveled extensively throughout
the United States and other parts of the world. His interests include sustainable
development, computer graphic animation, sacred geometry, astrology, entheobotany
and transpersonal psychology, which he studied with the internationally
recognized psychiatrist Stan Grof.
